HEIGHT: 6-0
PROFESSIONAL: 2008: Williams spent time with the Colorado Crush and New Orleans Voodoo of the AFL. With the Crush, he recorded 7 receptions for 77 yards and tallied three total tackles. With the Voodoo, he caught 30 passes for 377 yards and five touchdowns. 2007: He played in six games with the New Orleans Voodoo where he recorded 65 catches for 648 yards and 11 touchdowns; finishing 3rd on all team’s major receiving categories. He spent time with the Nashville Kats of the AFL prior to signing with the Voodoo. 2006: Williams attended training camp with the Colorado Crush of the AFL, but played in 11 games with the Manchester Wolves of af2. With the Wolves, he recorded 56 receptions for 647 yards and 17 touchdowns. 2005: He spent time on the Crush’s practice squad after being allocated to Cologne Centurions of NFL Europe. 2004: Williams was signed as an undrafted free agent to the San Francisco 49ers of the NFL. COLLEGE: Williams was a four-year letterman at Rhode Island. He played in 12 games as a senior, rushing for 677 yard on 85 carries and three touchdowns. He caught 23 passes for 436 yards and four touchdowns. He was named team’s outstanding offensive back by his coaches as a junior and also earned All-Atlantic 10 honors as a return specialist. Williams rushed for 209 yards on 21 carries as a sophomore and played in eight games as a freshman. PERSONAL: Williams prepped at Eleanor Roosevelt (Greenbelt, Md.) high school where he was a captain and three-year starter. He was named the team’s MVP after his senior year. Williams earned First-Team All-County, All-League and honorable mention All-Metropolitan Conference as a senior. |
