PROFESSIONAL: 2009: Soi spent time with the Green Bay Packers of the NFL 2008: He was a part of the New York Giants practice squad during the offseason prior to being released. 2007: Soi was signed as a non-drafted free agent with the Miami Dolphins prior to being released before the start of the regular season.
COLLEGE: Soi was listed as one of the top 100 recruits and rated as one of the best defensive linemen in the country after his senior year at Timpview High School (Provo, UT). Soi played only one year collegiately at Utah State where he earned Freshman All-American, 2nd Team Pre-Season All-WAC and Honorable Mention All-WAC. Soi originally signed to BYU out of high school.
PERSONAL: Growing up, Soi pretended he was Junio Seau of the San Diego Chargers, his favorite team. He was unable to start playing football until the age of 14 due to the fact he was too big to play in the little leagues in Hawaii. In his free time, Soi enjoys spending time with his wife, Suliana, and two children, Manaia and Mele.
