PROFESSIONAL: 2008: Elliott spent the season with the San Jose SaberCats of the Arena Football League. 2007: He played for the Rhein Fire of NFL Europa, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League. 2006: After college, Elliott signed a free-agent contract with the San Diego Chargers for the NFL.
COLLEGE: Elliott played three years, one as a redshirt, at the University of Utah from 2000-03. As a sophomore he played in eight games – starting six – and threw 1,529 yards and 10 touchdowns. He later transferred to Linfield College (Ore.) where he was a two-time Div. III First Team All-American for the Wildcats.In two seasons, Elliott won 23 of the 24 games he started and led the Wildcats to the 2004 Div. III National Championship. As a senior he threw for 4,019 yards and 49 touchdowns and was named the Gagliardi Trophy and Melberger Award, which signifies the most outstanding football player in Div. III. For his career, he threw for a school-record 8.614 yards and 110 touchdowns – 61 came in his junior year, which is a NCAA record for all divisions. He set at a total of 31 single-game, single-season and career school records with the Wildcats.
PERSONAL: In his free time, Elliott enjoys playing basketball, fly-fishing and golfing. Growing up, his favorite team was the Portland Trail Blazers. He attended Lake Oswego High School (Ore.) where he played football, basketball and tennis.
