UTAH BLAZE HOLDS FIRST OPEN TRYOUT
SALT LAKE CITY The Utah Blaze held their first tryout as an Arena Football One franchise last Saturday at Brigham Young Universitys Indoor Practice Facility. The tryout brought out players ranging from high school athletes to players with major college and professional indoor football experience. The University of Utah, BYU, Utah State, Weber State and Snow College were each represented by multiple players.
Approximately 50-60 athletes were evaluated at all positions on time agility drills and position specific drills. This preliminary tryout, in which no cuts will be made, is the first of two that will be held by the Blaze. The second tryout is projected for the end of February. An official date and information will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
