UTAH BLAZE TIMELINE OF IMPORTANT EVENTS

The events leading to the conception of the Arena Football One league, and the new Utah Blaze franchise are as follows:

July, 25 2008 — David Baker resigns as Arena Football League Commissioner.

December 19, 2008 — AFL suspends operations for 2009 schedule.

August 4, 2009 — AFL suspends league operations indefinitely. League files Chapter 7 bankruptcy shortly after.

September 28, 2009 — Arena Football One is formed with season to begin April, 2010.

November 25, 2009 — AFL assets are auctioned off and purchased by AF1.

December 31, 2009 — AF1 announces inaugural 2010 schedule.

January 12, 2009 — AF1 announces 2010 team alignment.

January 26, 2010 — Dave Affleck introduces the return of the former AFL team, the Utah Blaze, as an AF1 team.
